Sturmer Pippin Year:1 YR Named after the farm andAn old, Essex variety from around 1800, Sturmer Pipping produces a crisp and sharp apple, ready in late October which stores brilliantly, into March. The fruit is medium sized, ribbed and sometimes oblong, with a green skin that has an orange flush. It tastes best when it's been stored for a while, during which it sweetens. Rated by the Victorian writer Hogg as "of first rate excellence".
