We knew our set would introduce four brand-new mechanics that all sounded similar but did completely different things

The +1 sacrifice effect can break through in games where the board has stalled, or even set up some graveyard shenanigans as a sacrifice outlet

Cards that take too much damage are banished, though any damage sustained during a challenge remains until a card effect removes it

Whether or not well see this mechanic later on other planes is currently unclear, but there doesnt seem to be any problem with it balance wise

Your commander counts as one of those 100 cards, and they start the game in the Command Zone rather than in the deck
