The cap is hallmarked London 1889, and has the silversmith's stamp"W. H.". It has a ring for a wrist strap. There is an oval cartouche on the collar lightly engraved with a monogram "WWP". Between the cap and collar, the grip is covered in dark tan leather with a finely stitched seam. The long slim shaft is covered in tan braided thread The whip has its original green silk lash
