Both have a touch of art deco and are redwork samplers. AW interestingly crochet around the edge of her sampler to "hem" it. I decided to have AW stitched with an over dyed brown cotton thread called Blackbird by Classic Colorworks. The fabric is 32ct smokey white Belfast linen. This makes her 7. 5 x 8. 5 inches.
